Fear of the dentist is common and Dr Stavros takes your feelings seriously with a passion to make your dental experience with him as comfortable as possible.
He offers help and support, in the form of dental sedation for those of you who need a little help in ensuring ultimate comfort throughout treatment.
Intravenous sedation (IV sedation) offers a sedative drug given that is given intravenously by a trained sedation specialist.
Whilst it doesn’t fully put you to sleep, it does relax you and makes you less aware of what is going on around you.
Alternatively, Dr Stavros offers oral sedation, which involves taking a prescribed dose of sedative before the procedure commences.
After care
Dental implants: Make sure you seek regular three to four monthly maintenance and oral hygiene instruction from your dental practice. They can offer tailored advice specifically for you. They can recommend appropriate hygiene tools. There is a wide range from which to choose, such as interdental TePe brushes, single-tufted brushes, implant brushes, Waterpik, floss and so on. Different interdental tools suit different mouths and your dental hygienist will know what suit you best.
